Evaluation
Doing
this project I was really happy and exited to start to this project as soon as I
got the brief, the reason I was really happy about this project was because, I
personally really interested in mobilize and apps, so this project was an opportunity
for me to work and create something new and modern.
I think
the reason that I am really intended in mobilize and apps is because currently
most website are trying their best to be mobilized or have an app, which this technology
pushes me to be interested in mobilize and apps.
The
client that is also my friend, which she ran a Pottery studio based in
Nottingham, as I have worked with her before I wanted to make a website for her
work and the studio. Before I had my first meeting with her I made up some
draft designs and ideas to show her what she can accepts me to do for her, at
the meeting I got a chance to write down what she specifically want the website to include.
She also
asked me to create a new logo for her website, then I started making few
different logos then she came up to me and said that she would make her own
logo, then I said ok I will wait till you make your own logo. When she finished
her logo she sent it to me via email, when I seen the logo I was really disappointed
with it because it was a $#@T logo.
As she
requested that she does want that logo in her website I had to put that logo in
for her but what I also did is a made two websites one for this project and one
for her with whatever colour, fonts, style, design she wanted to have because
what I understated from them is that they don’t know what is the different
between a good website and a $#@T website.
I was
telling my client that they logo she has made and the colours for the
background she has chosen does not look good, but she was not listing to me, I
made few nice modern logos that go along with name of the studio and chosen
very nice background colours but she was still sticking with her request, so I
did what she wanted.

1. The structure of my
website I think is very good because it fits in the principle, all the elements
and objects in my website are well structured, everything is clear, readable
and visible.
2. The simplicity of my
website is very simple to use and navigate throughout the website very easy and
widely, for example if the costumer would like to get in touch via the contact
from is very easy they just need to fill in few details and then I get an email
straightaway. They customers can also buy products through my website and
paying via PayPal.
3. The visibility of my
website, my design wise is very clear and very easy visible colours, I have
used calm colours for the background and the font colour is very clear and
visible too. There is nothing extra that it is not needed in the website and
they user will not get lost or confused.
4. The feedback principle
of my website, as I was making my website I was always getting feedback from my
teachers and class mates to find out what is good and bad about my website, if
there was something in my website that is not good or visible I would act upon
my class mates or teachers advice.
5. The tolerance principle
of my website is very flexible, because as it is responsive it fits to any
screen size, as my website is responsive this will reduce the cost of having
another special website for mobile which this is really good. My website is
viewable on Smartphone’s, tablets and desktops.
6. The reuse principle, my
website is very easy to movie around, there is nothing in my website that will
stop the user to stop and rethink what they want to do, because everything in
the website is clear, visible, simple, easy and readable. So it will be very
easy for the user to do what they would like to do.
Doing
this project was really great and very interesting because, I am really
personally interested in mobilized and apps and this was a good chance for me
to explore more in to these areas.
This
project has also give me a chance to work with clients to find out how to work
and how to deal with them and what are their demands even as my client was my friend but it was really
hard to work with a client that does not know what is a website and how it
works and does not listen to my advice.
