Kinetic Typography

This was a project that I did last year when I was at college, this was for a group of football players that they asked us to create something for them with a positive message behind it, so that other kids around the UK don’t get involved in drugs, gangs, police etc.

I got my idea from look at these other clips which they helped me a lot to come up with my idea and how I would like my animation look like. Using the software was very hard because I did not know how to use it! But I am very happy with the outcome and I think it looks great.

These are my animations that I have created using still images then opening them in Adobe Photoshop to cut the background using a variety of tolls such as: magic wand tool, quick selection tool, lasso tool, erase tool. After doing theses to the photos then I imported them into Adobe After Effects to create the animation.

In our group we had an idea of only having parts of our faces in the animation playing about and just making the images small, big, spin around, move to different direction basically just trying to see what we can do and play around with the software and the images to make something out of it.

After that I see some of the other animation in our class, I thought that we should have also included of whole body rather than just having our face’s playing about, so I started making a new fresh animation with a new idea, I chosen to pick other pictures form other groups from the class, because in our group we did not had any pictures of whole body.

 I have created three versions of the animation, two clips look very similar because they were the first two animation clips that I have created but, then I created a third one which I like it more. I think this is the best out of all the three animation that I have created. Also the sound that was provided I have cut it so it’s kind of matching the animation as well, with adding the sound it makes a lot of difference which I think you enjoy it more when something you are able to see it and also hearing it.

I think my final completed animation is really good and I really like it from the other two animation, because everything thing is in a flow rather than have pictures of faces spinning around and not having a communication between them.
